alice in popup land

I think this is fantastic, i really enjoyed Lewis Carroll's books as a child and have been working on (on and off) a stylized piece involving some of the characters for some time now this has really sparked my interest, the complexity of the playing cards is a perfect back drop, if and when i finish it, i will post it up.

Book of lights

This is one of my favourite things i've found, its a great idea. Im certain it would be too expensive to do, but it would be great to make a lighting catalog like this, where all the lamps where made this way, and you take it home to see which is best before you buy, ok ok i know thats a pointless gimick but it would be cool, (and not a waste of resource really errrm)

pop up phobias

this is a pop up book of phobias i assume this one is dentist, although i am uncertain why they have an atomic death ray in the back ground and a tooth from a wooly mammoth on the left, i guess fear does make you irrational. A friend of mine from sheffield has a crazy phobia, he is terrified of small spherical objects, e.g. peas, marbles, bubbles, broken down polystyrene

prometheus

beyond worlds and prometheus by Barbara brown

Barbara brown from the looks of things create quite crisp (if a little to craft-based) books like the prometheus and the beyond worlds, i like the beyond worlds but find the prometheus dull and obvious, its a figure in flames, she could just as well called it Nicky lauder, but prometheus sounds like she did some research.

i wanted to find out what other people found monsterous so i printed out these templates and asked people to create monsters over the template
